Outline of Research at the Start

乳児期および幼児初期の重症う蝕(ECC:Early Childhood Caries)は最も一般的な小児慢性疾患であり、発展途上国だけでなく先進国においても恵まれない就学前児童の多くを苦しめている。ECCはう蝕原因菌の比率が高まった成熟プラーク（ディスバイオーシス）を特徴とする疾患であるであるが、近年は真菌のCandida albicansが強く関与すると報告されている。そこで本研究課題ではECCを外部環境要因も含め背景を評価したのちに、異なる真菌間での相互作用や、口腔真菌叢と口腔細菌叢を網羅的に解明する。
