Outline of Research at the Start	アルツハイマー病に腸内細菌叢が関係する。そこで、有効な作用を及ぼすと期待される微生物を摂取し腸内細菌叢を変化させることにより（プロバイオティクス）、アルツハイマー病の予防・治療に役立てようとする方法が注目されている。一方、歯周病は、腸内細菌叢に対して、人に有害な性質を持つように変化させることが分かってきた。「歯周病→腸内細菌叢の悪玉化→アルツハイマー病」というプロセスが考えられる。そこで本研究では①「歯周病→腸内細菌叢の悪玉化→アルツハイマー病」のプロセスを確認する、②アルツハイマー病の予防に効果的なプロバイオティクスが可能であるか、この2点を動物実験モデルを用いて明らかにする。
