Outline of Research at the Start

高齢者施設の入所者は、入所中に嚥下性肺炎を発症する例が多い。発症すると搬送先の急性期病院で抗菌薬投与などの加療を受け、肺炎の治癒後は施設に戻るが、その後も肺炎を繰り返して経口摂取を断念するケースも多い。ほとんどの急性期病院では、肺炎の治療を行うのみで、退院後の施設での経口摂取の仕方などについて指導しているわけではない。本研究では、肺炎治癒後に急性期病院で嚥下内視鏡検査と嚥下造影検査を行い、その評価を元に、個々に対しての嚥下リハビリメニューを作成する。このメニューに基づいて病院と施設と共通で継続した嚥下リハビリテーションを行い、高齢者施設の入所者の肺炎の予防と経口摂取の維持を目指す。
