Outline of Research at the Start

肺血栓塞栓症（PTE）は周術期の致死的合併症のひとつとして重要な疾患である。周術期のPTEの死亡率は減少しているが、PTEの発症件数は、近年、術後2、3日目は低下傾向にあるものの、術後1日目の発症は増加し続けている。本研究の目的は、わが国におけるエノキサパリン術後6時間からの投与の有効性と安全性を検証するエノキサパリン適応拡大にむけた臨床試験を実施とすることである。わが国で広くエノキサパリンが術後6時間からの使用されるようになれば、近年増加傾向にある周術期のPTEが減少すると考えられる。PTEは「治療」以上に「発症の予防」が重要な疾患であり、本課題は非常に意義のある臨床試験となりうる。
