Outline of Research at the Start	現在、日本の健康長寿に向けての重要な取り組みがフレイル（健康な状態と要介護状態の中間の段階）予防である。JAGES（日本老年学的評価研究）では、日本の高齢者において視覚障害が存在するとフレイルになりやすく、社会参加が減少し社会交流が低頻度になることが判明した。本研究では、JAGESへ参加した対象者を中心に、視覚障害とフレイル、特に社会的フレイルとの関連について包括的な分析を行い、フレイル予防策としての視覚障害対策の検討を行う。
