Outline of Research at the Start

1990年代後半以降、日本を含め多くの国で大規模なバイオバンクが設置された。近年、新生児期に親権者の「代諾」により試料（例：臍帯血）等をバンクに提供したドナーが成人年齢に達する時期となっている。バンクは成人となったドナー本人から同意を得なければ、試料等の保管を継続し、第三者へ分与することはできなくなるのか。この問いへの答えを見つけるために、本研究では、国内のバイオバンクの方針についてのインタビュー調査、ドナーの希望を類推するための一般市民に対するアンケート調査、法的権利関係を明らかにするための文献調査を行う。その上で、バイオバンクがとるべき具体的な対応について提言をする。
