Outline of Research at the Start

苦痛や不満を言葉にして訴えることが困難な乳幼児では、日常診療において、薬の副作用なども含めた、医療に関連して発生する健康上の障害が出現しても、見逃されやすい傾向にある。
本研究では、小児科専門医である研究代表者や研究グループの医師研究者らが、日常小児診療から得た知見と、これまでに行った多くの医療安全に関する研究のデータをもとに、小児患者の保護者や介護者の観察がより有効に生かされる観察ツールを開発する。この観察ツールにより、受療中の乳幼児における、医療に関連して発生する健康上の障害をより早期に適切に見つけることで、乳幼児により安全なケアを提供し、医療の質をさらなる改善に貢献することを目指す。
