Outline of Research at the Start	不妊の増加は世界的な問題であり、その約40％は男性側に原因がある。この背景には、胎児期と幼少期における環境化学物質への曝露が、社会的要因や栄養要因などと相互作用して視床下部-下垂体や生殖組織に影響を与え、生殖発達に寄与すると考えられるが、その詳細は不明である。パラジクロロベンゼン曝露が雄性生殖発達に与える影響に関しては懸念されているものの、十分に検討されていない。本研究では、パラジクロロベンゼンと亜鉛欠乏に焦点を当て、胎児期と幼少期における環境因子と栄養因子の相互作用が雄性生殖発達に及ぼす影響の機序をラットを用いて解明することで、ヒト男性不妊の改善に寄与する基礎知識を提供することを目指す。
