Outline of Research at the Start	がんは我が国の死因第1位であり、がんの予防対策は喫緊の課題となっている。これまで自記式質問票で評価した食塩や野菜の摂取量とがん罹患リスクとの関連は報告されているが、結果が一致していない。この背景として特に食塩摂取は対象者自身での自己評価が難しいことが考えられる。近年、ナトリウムとカリウムのバランスであるNa/K比が注目されている。尿中のNa/K比が低い者はがんの罹患リスクが低い可能性が考えられるが、検討している報告は知る限りない。本研究は、東北メディカル・メガバンク計画地域住民コホート調査のデータを用いて尿中のNa、K、Na/K比とがん罹患リスクとの関連について検討することを目的とする。
