Outline of Research at the Start

がん医療の質を評価するプロセス指標である診断から治療が開始されるまでの待機期間の現状と推移、関連する要因、ならびに予後との関連について、日本のがん医療の中心を担うがん診療連携拠点病院を対象として分析を実施する。院内がん登録全国集計データ等を用いて、長期待機者の割合、待機期間の都道府県間の格差、待機期間と関連する患者および施設要因、および待機期間と5年生存率との関連について分析を行う。本研究から得られる結果は日本におけるがん医療の質の改善に寄与すると考える。
