Outline of Research at the Start	本研究は、パンデミック期の日本の自殺の、国際的にみて例外的な状況の解明を目指すものである。具体的には「社会経済的なレベルによって地域ごとの自殺率の推移にはどのような違いがあったのか」や「地域ごとの失業率や雇用支援の取り組みなどがどのように自殺率に影響を及ぼしていたのか」を明らかにすることを目的とする。これらから、パンデミック期に日本で自殺者が増加した背景の詳細を明らかにし、なぜ日本とその他の国では自殺者の推移が異なっていたのかを考察する。さらに、これらの成果を基にして、今後の有効な自殺対策を模索する。
