高齢者の診療では複数の疾患が併存する。骨粗鬆症診療でも骨脆弱性を惹起する様々な疾患が併存し、それによって骨折リスクや要介護化リスクは変化するが、その実態は明らかではない。また、骨粗鬆症診療では治療を中断する患者が多いことが問題だが、中断後の骨折リスクは明らかではない。そこで、骨粗鬆症薬物治療の実施、大腿骨近位部骨折か椎体骨折の受傷のあった患者でその後の大腿骨近位部骨折、椎体骨折の発症と要介護認定の発生状況に影響する背景要因を明らかにする。さらに、骨粗鬆症薬物治療を中断した患者におけるその後の大腿骨近位部骨折、および椎体骨折の発生状況とこれらの発生に影響する背景要因を明らかにする。
