Outline of Research at the Start

不眠症は日本において深刻な問題である。近年 SASの有病率も高くなっている。不眠症やSASは、動脈硬化のrisk factorと報告されている。しかし、睡眠の量・質を同時に客観的に厳密に評価した国内一般住民対象の疫学研究は未だない。日本では高齢化が急速に進行し、特に福岡県那珂川市・福岡市城南区・長崎県壱岐市は平均寿命が全国平均であるものの健康寿命が短く、将来の日本の縮図である。本研究は、最新のバイオマーカー検査、冠動脈の石灰化に加えて新たに睡眠検診を実施する。不眠症、SASと動脈硬化・CKDのメカニズムを解明し、一般住民の健康寿命の延伸に寄与することを目的として本研究を草案した。
