Outline of Research at the Start	乳幼児突然死症候群 (SIDS) 発症は、いまだ乳児死亡原因の上位に位置しており、発症原因やその機序の解明が求められている。本申請課題では、SIDSの分子病態の解明を目指し、SIDS発症に関連する新たな遺伝子変異の同定およびそれらの機能的な変化を明らかにする。継続的な乳幼児突然死検体の遺伝子変異解析によって新たな変異情報を得るだけでなく、変異が細胞や動物に与える影響を詳細に解析し、協調して働く分子や経路まで明らかにする。
