Outline of Research at the Start

本研究者らはH31～R5年度基盤研究Cにて、口腔乾燥改善を目指した口腔ケアプログラムの開発・介入を行った。この研究は患者教育を含まない看護師が透析中に行う口腔ケアであったが、患者は口腔ケアに対する認識の変化や行動変容が見られた。
そのため、本研究では①介入前の透析患者の口腔乾燥状態、口腔内衛生状態、栄養状態、QOL、口腔ケアに対する認識の実態を明らかにし、②患者参加型口腔ケアプログラムを開発する。患者のセルフケアに着目した口腔ケアプログラムが作成できれば、継続的かつ確実な口腔ケアが行え、患者のQOLの改善のみならず、栄養状態の改善や感染症の予防による医療費の削減にも寄与することが期待される。
