Outline of Research at the Start

便秘は、脳卒中患者の6割以上に認められるが、確立したケア方略は少なく、医師の処方する緩下剤による排便調整が試みられる。しかしながら、緩下剤の過使用や、服薬後、薬剤効果発現の時間予測が難しいなど、排便コントロールに困難を感じる患者が多く存在する。そこで、研究代表者らは腹部エコーを用いることにより、腸管内に滞留した便の形状の推測が可能となることを探求してきた。本研究の目的は、脳卒中患者の便秘に対する腹部エコー所見を用いた排便ケアアルゴリズムを作成し、効果を検証することにある。
