Outline of Research at the Start	高齢化が進み、高齢者が最後まで自分らしい生活を続けられるよう終末期の意思決定等の支援の必要性が高まり、透析現場でも対応が迫られている。申請者は、「その人らしい生活」の実現には、対象の「その人らしさ」を引き出しながら、自分の健康や生活のために自発的に行動をとる「セルフケア」を支援することが必要だと考えている。透析患者の口に焦点を当て、患者自身が口のセルフケアで口腔状態を整えることが、身体機能や生活機能維持・向上、美味しく食べられる口を作り、「その人らしい生活」に繋がると考えた。本研究は、セルフケアの理論枠組みを用いて透析患者のセルフケアを引き出す口腔ケアプログラムの開発・評価をすることである。
