Outline of Research at the Start

本研究の目的は、3年間で無痛分娩の選択をめぐる女性の意思決定プロセスにおける「助産師の寄り添い尺度」を開発し、信頼性、妥当性を検証することである。申請者は博士論文で無痛分娩を選択する女性の意思決定プロセスに寄り添い、女性にとって納得のいく選択ができる支援の必要性を明らかにした。また助産師は、医療介入を伴う無痛分娩のリスクと自然性を重視する職業的な価値との葛藤を抱く様相が明らかとなった。この葛藤を消化しながら寄り添うことが、助産師として重要な姿勢である。そこで、無痛分娩の選択をめぐる女性の意思決定プロセスにおける「助産師の寄り添い」の構成概念を明らかにし、尺度開発を試みる。
