Outline of Research at the Start

授乳期における乳腺炎が重症化し、授乳中の乳房にメスを入れる切開排膿等が必要となる産婦は3~11%である。国際学会が生後6か月間の完全母乳育児を推奨する一方で、授乳に起因する乳腺炎の罹患率や包括的ケアに関する質の高い疫学研究は極めて少ない。
我が国では、2018年度に「乳腺炎重症化予防ケア・指導料」が新規収載される診療報酬改定があった。これは、医師だけでなく助産師による包括的ケアが乳腺炎の重症化を予防することが期待された結果である。そこで本研究は、当該診療報酬の算定基準に基づく乳腺炎重症化予防ケアと臨床アウトカムとの関連を明らかにする。本研究の結果は我が国の乳腺炎ケアの質向上に寄与すると考える。
