Outline of Research at the Start

MCIやフレイルは要介護や死亡のリスク因子であるが、重症化する前に適切な介入を行うことで状態の改善が期待できる。不良な睡眠状況はこれらの老年症候群の発生に関連する可能性がある。しかし、客観的な睡眠指標によって評価された睡眠状況と老年症候群発生を追跡した報告は限られており、エビデンスの構築には乏しい状況である。正確な睡眠状況とMCIおよびフレイル発生との関連を明らかにすることで、要介護予防に向けた取り組みに資する知見を得ることが期待される。そこで、本研究では地域在住高齢者を対象に客観的な睡眠指標を用いて、睡眠状況とMCIおよびフレイル発生との関連を縦断的に検討することを目的とする。
