Outline of Research at the Start

End of life discussionsは、患者と家族が終末期に受けたい医療やケア、最期を過ごす療養の場や看取りの場を検討するための話し合いである。日本の在宅ケアの場では、訪問看護師が中心的役割を担うことが多いが、話し合いの内容はセンシティブであるため、そのタイミングの特定は難しい。一方、そのタイミングを特定する尺度や具体的方法は確立されていない。そこで本研究は、訪問看護師が最適なタイミングで段階的に実施するEnd of life discussionsの標準化を目指すプログラム開発と有効性を検証する。本研究により、国民が住み慣れた自宅で最期まで自分らしい生活を続けるという地域包括ケアシステムの充実に寄与すると考える。
