Outline of Research at the Start	カプリル酸は、ラウリン酸と比較して、高吸収、高ケトジェニックであり、がん性心筋障害に対して他のMCFAよりも少量で効果を顕すことが期待される。一方で、ラウリン酸で見られた抗腫瘍効果や高容量における心筋障害については十分な報告が認められない。また、カプリル酸の有するケトン体生成能のがん性心筋障害への効果も明らかではない。本研究では、カプリル酸による食事介入の心筋保護作用や抗腫瘍効果ならびに副作用を、in vitro悪液質モデルとラット悪液質モデルを用いて検討し、がん治療への忍容性の向上、疾患予後の改善に結びつけようとするものである。
