Outline of Research at the Start	本研究では，運動器疼痛を抱えた高齢者の転倒発生予測因子の改善を図る介入戦略の効果を検証し，そのメカニズムを明らかにすることを目的としている．研究デザインはランダム化比較試験であり，対象者をバランストレーニングと患者教育指導を実施する運動教室に参加する介入群（期間：3ヵ月，頻度：週1回）と健康講座に参加する対照群（期間：3ヵ月，頻度：月1回）の2群に割り付ける．評価項目は，反応的バランス能力，転倒発生率，痛み，運動機能，精神心理機能，身体活動量とし，これらを介入前・介入終了時・追跡調査時（介入終了時から12ヵ月後）で比較し，介入効果とそのメカニズムを明らかにする．
