Outline of Research at the Start

申請者はOpen MRIを用いて，肩関節変性指標が投球障害肩の危険因子と関連していることを見出した。本研究の目的は，肩関節の根本的な痛みの要因となり得る肩関節変性指標を用いて，前向き研究を行い，投球障害肩の発症要因を明らかにすることである。
計画している研究手順は，野球選手に対してオフシーズンにMRI検査を実施した後，1年間の追跡調査により，投球時の肩の痛みを従属変数，肩関節変性指標を独立変数とした多重ロジスティック回帰分析を用いて，投球障害肩の発症要因を調査する。
学術的特色は医学的・科学根拠に基づいた新規性と独自性の高い肩関節変性指標を用いて新たな投球障害肩の発症要因を見出すことである。
