Outline of Research at the Start

口腔衛生に起因する急性口腔感染症の発症は、アスリートにとってパフォーマンスやトレーニング時間の損失につながるばかりでなく、全てにおいて質の低下につながることが考えられる。本研究は、このようなアスリートの口腔疾患リスクである急性口腔感染症に対し、効果的な口腔衛生戦略によって口腔の健康不良によるパフォーマンスへの影響を最小限に抑えることが可能となる。今回、微生物・感染症、スポーツ科学および口腔ケアを専門とする研究者がグループとなり、被験者の口腔内細菌検査と口腔衛生に関する意識を調査研究する。その結果をもとにして、アスリートの口腔ケアプログラムを開発し、実際にプログラムを動かして検証する。
