脳振盪は頭部打撲後の一過性の神経機能障害と定義されるが、頭部MRIなどで明らかな損傷がないにも関わらず頭痛、めまい、集中力低下など多彩な症状を呈する。脳振盪は神経機能障害と定義されているものの、実際は呼吸循環機能など様々な身体機能にも影響を及ぼし受傷後のパフォーマンス低下につながっている。本研究では「脳振盪後には身体機能が低下する」という仮説を証明するため、脳振盪後の身体機能の多角的評価項目（循環（心拍・血圧）、呼吸、発汗、疲労度、筋量など）および運動による各項目の変化について検証を行い、神経症状だけでなくより身体機能を重視した新たな脳振盪評価ツールおよび競技復帰プロトコールの開発を行う。
