Outline of Research at the Start

アスリートがスポーツ活動中に膝の前十字靭帯を受傷（ケガ）した場合、靭帯再建の手術治療が必要となる。手術後にスポーツ復帰するためには6か月以上をかけてリハビリテーションを行うことが一般的であり、スポーツ復帰を判断する一つの基準として、膝周囲筋である大腿四頭筋の筋力が用いられることが多い。本研究では、「手術時点で筋細胞の状態が健常時とはどのように異なっているのか、また、その差異は術後の大腿四頭筋の筋肥大と関連するか」をmRNAレベルで明らかにし、手術時の筋細胞の状態から術後6か月の筋肥大の予測可能性を評価する。
