Outline of Research at the Start	認知症は神経変性疾患に伴うものが多いる。例えばアルツハイマー病では、アミロイドタンパクが神経変性を引き起こし、認知症に至らしめると考えられている。この過程に、神経細胞の周囲に存在するミクログリアも関与が示唆されている。一方、アルツハイマー病脳内ではプロスタグランジンE2量の増加も報告されている。本研究では、プロスタグランジン関連薬のミクログリアの細胞機能に対する影響と、その影響が及ぼす記憶障害に関わる検討を行い、認知症の治療法確立に貢献する。
