Outline of Research at the Start	脂肪性肝炎は，肝細胞に中性脂肪が過剰に蓄積し、肝臓に炎症が生じた状態であり，増悪化すると肝線維化を経て肝硬変や肝臓がんに進展する。最近、新たな脂肪性肝炎の病変として、肝臓特有の血管網“肝類洞”への血小板凝集が報告された。本研究は、肝類洞で発現するvon Willebrand因子（VWF）と凝固第VIII因子（FVIII）の血小板凝集に対する作用を解析し、肝類洞血流障害を起点とした脂肪性肝炎の病態形成機構を明らかにする。本研究の成果は、脂肪性肝炎の病態形成の解明と肝硬変進展の予防・治療法開発につながることが期待できる。
