Outline of Research at the Start

小児肥満は小児期から生活習慣病を伴い、高率に成人肥満に移行することで、将来の健康寿命に影響を及ぼすことが大きな問題となっている。しかし、小児肥満においてこれらの病態が進展するメカニズムの全貌は明らかにされていない。
本研究では、肥満小児の血中細胞外小胞 ( EV; extracellular vesicles)の詳細な成分解析を行い、肥満の程度に応じて変動するEV成分とその放出臓器を同定し、さらに食事・運動療法による肥満の改善で変化するEV成分や放出臓器を明らかにすることで、小児肥満において代謝や将来の健康寿命に関係する分子や臓器間ネットワークの詳細を解明する。
