Outline of Research at the Start

本研究の目的は、腸内細菌のFOS代謝酵素の基質特異性を解明することにより、個々の健康状態に応じカスタマイズされたプレバイオティクス(Precision Prebiotics)を開発し、その健康ケア効果を明らかにすることである。我々が実施したい研究は、腸内細菌の有するFOS代謝酵素の基質特異性を網羅的に解析し、そのプロファイリングから機能未知の代謝酵素の基質特異性を予測することである。これにより、個別の腸内細菌叢に応じて必要な菌種を増殖させるFOSの組み合わせを特定し、Precision Prebioticsを開発したい。さらに、社会実装を見据え、エビデンスを取得したい。
