Outline of Research at the Start	近年老化は細胞レベルでは老化細胞の蓄積と理解され幹細胞老化が関与することがわかってきた。癌も幹細胞老化の異常により発生すると考えられているが老化と癌化の関連は未解明である。本研究では申請者が樹立した幹細胞培養モデルであるオルガノイドを用い胃の幹細胞老化機構と癌化との関連を解明することを目的としている。さらに胃癌の前癌病変と考えられている腸上皮化生に着目し、腸上皮化生が老化か前癌病変か、また腸上皮化生が胃の幹細胞老化により発生するか明らかにする。本研究により胃の老化と癌化の関連が明らかになり胃癌の新たな予防戦略を提案することができると期待される。
