Outline of Research at the Start	からだにとって重要な脂肪分を輸送している血漿リポタンパク質には「悪玉」LDL(低密度リポタンパク質)と「善玉」HDL(高密度リポタンパク質)があり、特にHDLは心筋梗塞や脳卒中といった動脈硬化性疾患において予防的、抑制的に働くと言われています。本研究では、HDLの機能や代謝経路に着目した研究を進め、動脈硬化に効く新しいクスリを作ることを目指しています。
