Outline of Research at the Start

対面交流が難しい人でも人との感情的なつながりが得られるようなサイバー空間の提供をめざす．対面交流に劣らない感情の交流が行えること，多様なユーザにも低負担で利用できることを目標とする．この観点でのサイバー空間の実現のための要件を抽出し，要素技術開発と基礎検討の後に，1) 長期入院中の血液がんの患者と，2) 地域在中の孤立しがちな高齢者を対象とした実証実験を行う．
学術的問いは，「サイバー空間で対面同様の感情の交流を実現できるか」「対面と比べて足りない要素を最小限の機材で拡張するにはどうすればよいか」「患者や高齢者に対して，受容性と効用のあるサイバー空間での交流の場を提供できるか」である．
