Outline of Research at the Start	中央北極海では漁業協定に基づき、2024年から本格的な科学調査が開始される予定である。これに先立ち研究代表者らは、将来的に漁業ができる可能性をもつチュクチ・ボーダーランド海域において、低酸素化・酸性化が進んでいることを船舶観測で発見し、その要因を調べた。本研究ではさらに、既存の係留系に酸素センサーを取り付け、低酸素水の酸素濃度の季節変化とその変動要因を明らかにする。研究代表者らの先行研究を含めた一連の研究成果は、中央北極海の漁業協定に関わる政策提言や生態系アセスメントに活用されることが期待できる。
