Outline of Research at the Start	地下水の動態や年代の調査に10万年単位のトレーサーとなる極微量な塩素同位体を分離抽出して測定することは極めて有用である。しかしながら、試料に同時に含まれる硫黄による干渉が測定を極めて困難にしている。このため測定実績があるのは、これらの元素を分離検出可能な6メガボルト以上の大型加速器を有する国外9施設、国内2施設に限られている。本研究の目的はイオンファネル反応セルという硫黄を高効率で削減する装置を導入することで、加速器に頼らず塩素同位体を測定する新たな分析手法を確立することである。この技術は、地球環境変動の分析に寄与する。
