Outline of Research at the Start

本研究では19世紀後半から現在までのアフガニスタン・パキスタン両国境域を対象に、近代南アジアにおけるムスリムたち共通の広域的言論空間「ウルドゥー語圏」、パシュトゥーンによる超域的言論空間「パシュトー語圏」という二つの重層的言論空間の有機的な人的交流・知的ネットワークに着目し、同地域の政治・社会運動の歴史的動態の実相と背景について解明を進めるとともに、新たな地域研究の学術的基盤を構築する。
