Outline of Research at the Start	本研究は、中東・アフリカ地域における主要穀物の輸入依存構造の歴史的起源を解明し、長期的視点から地域への対外介入のあり方を政治経済学的に考察する。2022年2月以降のウクライナ戦争と黒海封鎖により、中東・アフリカ地域での食糧不安が高まった。この背景として、この地域の多くの国々が近年ロシア・ウクライナ産小麦に対する過度な輸入依存があった。食をめぐるグローバル・システムの大きな変遷を遠景に、本研究は中東・アフリカへの食糧・農業支援を中心とした米国の活動が現在の地域全体の輸入依存構造の基盤を形成したという仮説を出発点に、その長期的影響を解明し、食糧安全保障に関する新たな視座を確立することを目指す。
