Outline of Research at the Start	本研究は、インドネシア大都市の低所得層市民が居住する都市村落（カンポン）を対象地として、住民による「精霊への信憑」が私有および公共の空間の更新に与える影響とメカニズムを都市計画学と社会心理学の複合から探るものである。申請者がこれまで建築計画学・都市計画学・芸術学の専門領域からスラバヤ市で取り組んできた「カンポンにおけるコミュニティ・マネジメントのメカニズムを考察する研究」の手法と成果を土台として、精霊信憑の情報の収集・分析を通してカンポンの空間と居住者の心理の関係を明らかにし、カンポンの空間更新のプロセスと居住者心理の相互関係、そしてそれがマクロの都市計画に与える影響についての試論を構築する。
