Outline of Research at the Start

トルコ諸都市の公共空間を対象とし、近年の現代的な変化の背景となる社会変動や都市政策の影響を踏まえ、公共空間の変容を解明する。具体的には、都市化、イスラーム文化、空間利用者の属性との関連性を検証し、空間特性を捉える。中でも女性のための空間に着目し、建築学と社会学の双方の視点からトルコ特有の公共空間の実態を分析し、地域性を見出す。都市センター領域と居住街区のコミュニティ空間を比較調査し、1994年から蓄積してきた調査資料と合わせて、空間形態の変容と特徴を統合的に考察する。研究方法はトルコ諸都市を対象としたフィールドワークをベースとし、空間形態の類型化を行う。
