Outline of Research at the Start	本研究では、日本におけるイスラーム・コミュニティ（IC）に焦点を当てて、日本におけるイスラーム教徒の日常生活とモスクとの関係を考察する。事例としては、日本の最古の2つのモスクである東京ジャーミーと神戸ムスリムモスク等で行われている説教に着目する。具体的には、毎週金曜日にモ行われる説教に見る共生の捉え方や在日のムスリムの社会統合への思いなどの分析を切り口に、日本におけるムスリムの日本社会への土着化の程度を明らかにする。また、米国のICにおけるモスクの説教と比較検証することで、日本のICの特徴や問題などを提示し、問題の解決案などを模索して、日本社会における多文化共生の発展に貢献することを目指す。
