Outline of Research at the Start	本研究は、出稼ぎ労働者を送り出すラオス北部の農村、労働者を受け入れるバナナ・プランテーション、さらに、比較対象としてラオス北部からの移民労働者を受け入れるタイ北部でフィールド調査を通じて、(1)労働移動の選択が当事者及びその家族のどのような要因によって決定されるのか、また(2)労働移動が小規模農民の家族関係にどのような影響を与えるのかを明らかにしようとするものである。どのような要因が労働移動の選択を決定づけるのかを、送り出し村の農業構造及び経済構造の変化を踏まえて分析し、これまで対策がほとんど取られていない農村間労働移動の問題への対応策を提言する。
