Outline of Research at the Start

本研究の分析対象は、北米の宗教コミュニティであるアーミッシュ教会を離脱した、元アーミッシュ信者すなわち宗教２世や3世と呼ばれる人々である。元アーミッシュは、近年アメリカ社会で徐々にその存在感を増しているが、彼／彼らの主流アメリカ社会での生活や、アーミッシュ・コミュニティとの関係、さらに元アーミッシュ信者としてのアイデンティティ獲得過程については、アメリカにおいても先行研究が少ない。そこで本研究では、元アーミッシュ信者の生活実態と今日のアメリカ社会にもたらす影響を、資料調査と民族誌学的な参与観察を交えた実証的な研究を実施する。
