Outline of Research at the Start	アフリカの農業の停滞と食料生産性の低さ，人口や所得の増加などによりアフリカの食料需要は増加している。他方，食料輸入は2011年以降増加しておらず，近年のアフリカ諸国の対外債務の累積と構造的な外貨不足が食料輸入に制約を与えている可能性も考えられる。2000 年代以降の国際的な食料価格の高騰は，国際金融市場における農産品先物取引の拡大が一つの要因として挙げられる。本研究は主に小麦やメイズといった穀物価格の上昇を通じて国際市場の変化がアフリカの食料問題にどのような影響を与えるのか，アフリカ域内・域外との食料ネットワークを通じた依存関係とそのマクロ経済的側面に焦点を当てて制約や問題点を明らかにする。
