Outline of Research at the Start	本研究は、「ヘリテージ化（heritagization）」における観光の影響を、近代産業遺産を事例にとらえ、その理論的検討を行うものである。ここでは「ヘリテージ化」を時代的変化の中で3段階に分けられると仮定し、近代期の国民国家成立においてイデオロギー的に機能してきた段階、20世紀後半以降の（開発に対する）保護、（国家に対する）地域、（マジョリティに対する）マイノリティといった対立構造の中で様々に生成されていく段階、そして1990年代以降の「遺産産業」の活発化の中で観光の影響と不可分に進行していく段階である。そのうち現代の観光的次元を取り込んだ「ヘリテージ化」の現代的態様にとくに着目している。
