Outline of Research at the Start	本研究は「ものづくり立国・日本」の新成長に向けた価値創造の一助として、現代の工業製品デザインにおいて日本の美意識を表現するためのデザイン手法の明確化を目的としている。本研究期間内では日本の代表的な美意識の一つであり海外でも認知度が高い「寂び」の美意識を表現するためのデザイン手法を導出する。次に、導出したデザイン手法を用いて事例となる工業製品のデザインを創作し、国内外のユーザおよび有識者、また工業製品のデザインを手がける企業への評価を行い、デザイン手法の有用性と妥当性を検証する。
