Outline of Research at the Start

デジタル地図を活用した市民参加型による社会課題の解決を目指す「参加型GIS」が、市民の役割とデータの所有権を再定義する上で着目されている。本研究は、日本におけるボランティア地理情報の整備状況と貢献者の参加状況を比較し、データの充実や活動継続性に関わる規定要因を明らかにする。具体的には、オープンストリートマップを中心に、地域的なデータ量・種類等の構成要素を、既存データの比較を行った上で地理的に指標化し、貢献者数や更新頻度など貢献者の関与を明らかにする。継続的に整備されているデータの種類や貢献者の参加状況を明らかにすることで、草の根型によるデータ整備の意義や活動継続性に対する課題を検討する。
