Outline of Research at the Start	年々、増加傾向の血液透析患者が治療中に直面するトラブルには、透析用カテーテル（以下カテーテル）の機能不全がある。機能不全は血流異常を呈するため、治療が頻回に中断することが重大な問題である。治療の中断は、回路内の血液凝固、血液中の老廃物のクリアランス低下、患者の拘束時間の延長に繋がり、治療効果が低下し生命予後に悪影響を与える。本研究課題の目的は、カテーテルの機能不全（以下、機能不全）の予測因子を解明することである。透析患者を対象に血液検査、血圧測定など日常的に透析治療で得られるデータを中心に予測因子となるか分析する。本研究の推進で治療の中断が予防でき、患者の拘束時間を短縮できることが期待される。
