Outline of Research at the Start	大気圧プラズマの医学分野では皮膚の創傷の治癒や癌に対する作用の研究が多く行われているが、脳への作用に関する研究は報告が極めて少ない。本研究計画では、将来、大気圧プラズマによる組織再生医療の実現を目指すため、脳疾患である脳梗塞モデルを用いてその効果を検証し、誘導される現象において中心的な役割を担う細胞種の同定を行う。脳梗塞のような神経死を伴う脳疾患は、現行の医療では治療困難であるものが多いが、プラズマの照射によりそれが可能となることが期待される。
