Outline of Research at the Start

本研究の目的は、尿中に出現する丸型尿細管上皮細胞(round cell)の分子生物学的特性および臨床的意義を明らかにすることである。Round cellは、尿中への出現数が少なく疾患との関連性が不明である。また、腎疾患の治癒過程における尿細管上皮の再生過程および起源細胞は未解明である。本申請課題では、健常者尿中に出現するround cellの分化過程を分子生物学的に解析すると共に、臨床検体を用いて各種腎疾患とround cellの出現数との相関性を明らかにする。本研究により、尿細管腔の再生機序の一端を解明すると共に新規腎機能評価指標の提案に繋がることが期待される。
